But an ancient necromancer and a menacing shape-shifter are on a quest to obtain it, and they unleash their violent demon minions on Joe and Lorelei. With only the local ghosts’ club, the Ghoul Philosopher’s Society (GPS), a saucy female detective, and a deviously seductive vampire for allies, Joe faces an up-hill battle against his formidable opponents.

This was a very good book filled with lots of action. The continuous parade of supernatural creatures was exciting. My only complaint is with Joe's forgetfulness regarding his mage staff. I lost track of how many times he went off without it. In spite of that I will look for more books in the series.Product details

This author is awesome and keeps you interested all the way through the book.
David Brookover wrote excellent book. The characters were well defined and the story line kept me wanting more. I strongly recommend.
Really interesting story. I really enjoyed the twists that the storyline took. This was a very good read and I would recommend this book to any adult. There are scenes not appropriate for young people. I very much enjoyed the different magical beings in this book.
Lots of fun to read I enjoyed the new takes on fantasy that this author used to tell his story
A quirky fast paced story with many supernatural creatures and a sorwolf as the main character ( mother was a sorceress and father a werewolf ). If anything the story was entertaining .... there was always something happening and Joe Luna has the abilities to fix most anything that happens with the help of ghosts, a vampire, werewolves, Kit who is a police officer, and his Uncle Jess who so happens to work for the government.
I cannot even imagine the nightmares Mr. Brookover must have. Considering some of the scenes in this book, they must be doozies.
However. But. There is so much humor here the reader cannot really be scared - because immediately after a monster comes a belly laugh.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I truly hope there's a sequel. Although how this book could be followed up beats me! This is definitely a re-read. There is one question. He took six pints of blood but only used five on Lorelei. What happened to that other pint?
This SUPERNATURAL THRILLER will leave you wanting more. Not the usual take it will surprise you and give you Vampires , Werewolves,Ghosts Trolls and let's pick your favorites. Yes ROMANCE TOO. I RECOMMEND THIS ENTERTAINING TALE.
